Goldeneye: Rogue Agent
Why Save The World . . . When You Can Rule It?
Electronic Arts LA
Just a quick update – I have been enjoying myself too much to write for the site!
Thanks for all your questions I will have the interviews written up as soon as I get back. Some very interesting information was available from EA.
Also while there we all had the chance to play the Hong Kong level of the game, which despite not being finished is fantastic!
It is the third mission I believe, which contains four parts, I only managed to get to part 2! – But they said it was ‘hard’ mode.
Then there was a little bit of a multiplayer tournament and just so you know ajb beat CBN but didn’t get much further
The multiplayer level was the cradle from Goldneye – called Uplink and it is designed as a two player level. Apparently there will be various levels for different amounts of players. Not being a game player really I have no idea if this is how most games work these days. Thankfully though 2 players will be able to play all the levels.
The multiplayer levels also feature additional ‘death traps’ the cradle level for instance has a helicopter flying around shooting at you, the Golden Gate Bridge from A View To a Kill will have Zorin’s blimp flying overhead to try and disrupt the game play.
In answer to a couple of questions SC1 Scaramanga will be in the game, voiced by none other than the man himself.
Cubby Brccoli on the walk of the stars – Hollywood
There will be no cars or major vehicle appearances. Dr. No has a flying machine which he uses on numerous occasions but the game itself is solely a first person shooter. Which in my opinion is better.
I will cover more when I can for now though I hope that this has wet your appetite for some more. It really does look set to be a fantastic game.
On a personal note I would like to say thank you to everyone at EA, Jon, Dan, Simon et al and Patrick Gilmore and Chris Plummer it was great to get an insight into what goes in to such a game.
